Admissions Policy
Every person, as a child of God, regardless of race, condition, or age, has equal dignity and an inalienable right to an education. Therefore, Santa Clara College Preparatory High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, racial or ethnic origin, in the administration of its educational policies, its admission policies, its grant programs, or in its athletic and other school programs.

Application Process
Parents of students interested in attending Santa Clara  College Preparatory High School can request an application online or by visiting the Admissions Office in person. The application process requires the following:
  • Completion of Application with $50 non-refundable deposit
  • Written essay (250 words or more) from student explaining why he or she would like to attend Santa Clara College Preparatory High School
  • Two Letters of Recommendation   
  • Completion of Student Admissions Packet 
  •  Student/Parent Interview with SCHS Administration
  • Completion of High School Placement Exam on Saturday January 31, 2009
 
Admissions:
Parents of students who wish to apply for admission may pick up admission materials in the Admissions Office or apply online. The early admissions deadline is January 30, 2009. All students who complete their application by the deadline will be notified by mid-March of their acceptance status. Students who wish to enter grade 9 and who do not meet the admission deadline are welcome to apply to the school at any time and will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entrance Exam:
Students applying for the 9th grade must take the standardized entrance exam on Saturday January 31, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. The fee for the entrance exam is included in the application fee.

Transfer Students:
Minimum academic requirements apply. Santa Clara College Preparatory High School adheres to C.I.F. transfer eligibility rules for athletes. Students must have a 2.0 GPA with no "F" grades on their transcript. Transfer students are accepted based on space availability.

Transfer student placement is limited. We can not guarantee admissions.
