Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We hope this email finds you doing well as we are preparing for school to begin. We have received a few calls about the Eastbay store and we will have another sale beginning tomorrow and ending next week. As soon as it is available, I will send you an email--these orders will come to you after school has started. We will also have a sale once per month so you can order any items that you may need.
I also wanted to give you a heads up that we will have two mandatory parent meetings this year where we expect atleast one parent per student to attend. We wanted to give you ample notice to make sure it is on your calendar: August 26 and January 6 from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Pavilion. This year we will be focused on policies and procedures, transparency, and collaboration, and these meetings will ensure that our families are informed and up-to-date on the important happenings at SCHS. Due to the importance of these meetings, there will be a sign in/ sign out sheet and if you are unable to attend or you forget to sign in and sign out, you will be billed $50 each meeting.
Thank you for your support as we are preparing for the start of the year! Go Saints! God Bless!
COLorblock polos are for seniors only!
Dear Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff,
We hope this email finds you doing well this weekend! We want to make sure that everyone participates in the Target Take Charge of Education Program for Santa Clara High School. It does not cost you any money--you simply sign up your redcard or debit card and each time you make a purchase at Target, we receive credit. It is one of the new requirements per the handbook, but again, it doesn't cost you any money.
Currently there are only 22 members and our goal is to have least 550 members by the end of the year. Please pass this along to family and friends as well to help SCHS.

Thank you and God Bless!
Dr. Cori Marasco
P.S. If anyone has any connections with a nursery, please reach out to me--we are looking for some honeysuckle vines (about 40 in the 5 gallon containers) for our back fence.
Dear Students, Parents, Faculty & Staff,
We hope this email finds you doing well and enjoying your summer. After reviewing the proposed handbook with all stakeholder groups, we have finalized it, and are excited to email you the link to the new student-parent handbook! Countless hours have been dedicated to this project to provide you with a detailed and very useful handbook which articulates the structures and policies we will be putting into place. The link is: http://www.santaclarahighschool.com/handbook.html
Please make sure to read the handbook in it's entirety. We will be emailing you next week with the link to Eastbay's special flash store for the polo orders. You will order directly from them, pay them, and they will ship it to your home--removing Santa Clara as the middle entity. This should be much more convenient for you.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Santa Clara High School head football coach, Tony Leckie, resigned on July 1, 2015 after four years at the helm. Coach Leckie led the Saints to a Frontier League Championship in 2014 and a quarterfinal finish in the CIF Southern Section playoffs. Santa Clara has named defensive coordinator, Stephen Raab, and Athletic Director, James Walker, as the interim head Varsity football coaches. Coach Raab will handle football X’s and O’s and Coach Walker will focus on the day-to-day operations of the program. Santa Clara will open a national search for a permanent head football coach in August concluding in November.
Dear Parents and Students,
We hope this email finds you doing well and you are preparing for a wonderful 4th of July weekend! We have received quite a few phone calls regarding uniforms and dress code for next year. We are working on the new student and parent handbook, which will be released next Friday with specifics on the changes. So that you are aware, per my discussions with students and their requests, we will be offering polo shirts for freshman through seniors which are navy blue Under Armour, and we are continuing the tradition of special polos for seniors which will also be navy blue with a distinguished white piping also from Under Armour.
We are pleased to announce that we have been selected and recruited to become an Under Armour sponsored school. All of our spirit wear as well as sports gear will be Under Armour at a major discount from the company and only through Eastbay and our spirit store. The orders for the polo shirts will be made directly through an Eastbay specialized flash store and that will be released next week as well so that you have ample notice to purchase if you wish. We will also continue to use Dennis Uniforms and for those students who choose, they do not have to purchase the polo. Again, specifics will come out next week in the handbook and I will highlight the changes via emails.
Again, Happy 4th of July and GO SAINTS! We have plenty to be thankful for.
Dear Santa Clara Families,
As all of you have heard, yesterday Head Football Coach Tony Leckie resigned. The Santa Clara High School Administrative staff and myself would like to thank Coach Leckie for his six years of service, four years as head varsity coach. During his time he helped lead the Saints to a Frontier League Championship in 2014 and a quarterfinal finish in the CIF Southern Section playoffs. He has done numerous things to help our students and the school on and off the field. We are naming Coach Stephen Raab and myself as the Interim Head Varsity Coaches. He will focus on the football aspect of the program and I will help with the operations in regards to fundraising, academic issues, off the field operations of the program, and help with the coaching. We will also be bringing in a team of coaches to help the current staff who are staying to get through this season. We are fully confident in or football program moving forward and we will be opening a national search for a permanent Head Varsity Football Coach. We will have a parent and player meeting on Monday at 6:30 pm in either the Pavilion. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Mr. James Walker
Dear Parents, Students and Staff,
We hope that this email finds you doing well. Today, July 1, marks my first day as principal of our great school and I wanted to take the time to reach out to you. I am greatly looking forward to the coming year and working closely with each of you to continue to build Santa Clara High School and move in the right direction. We have a lot of exciting events planned for you, new programs we are bringing into the school, and have even created a new website which will be launched tonight. The url for the website will remain: www.SantaClaraHighSchool.com and you can check it for an up to date calendar of events, and all of the great things we have been working on. This school year we will be focused on transparency, collaboration, and creating policies and procedures, all of which will result in growth in Santa Clara High School and have originated from my many discussions with students, teachers, and parents. We are a student-centered school devoted to educating the hearts and minds of our students and best preparing them for their futures as Catholic citizens.
If you are around, feel free to stop by and introduce yourselves if I have not yet had the opportunity to meet with you. I am out of the office until Monday due to our holiday.
Have a blessed and safe 4th of July! Go Saints!
