News Release: palmisano new AD
Santa Clara High School Athletic Director and head baseball coach, James Walker, has resigned. He has decided to pursue other endeavors at the college level. The students and staff at Santa Clara want to wish him the best and thank him for his years of dedicated service.
SCHS Development Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach, Teresa Palmisano, will take over effective immediately as the new Athletic Director. Palmisano was a high school All American and college All American basketball player for the University of California, Berkeley. She played professionally for 12 years in Europe and the WNBA. Palmisano came to Santa Clara High School after two seasons on the Gonzaga University coaching staff. From 2009 to 2011, Gonzaga, ranked 8th in the nation was 60-10 and claimed back-to-back West Coast Conference regular season and tournament titles. She was inducted into the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame in 2006 and the University of California Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010. Santa Clara High School is pleased and honored to have her serve as our new Athletic Director.
Rod Hutchinson will assume the role as head baseball coach. Coach Hutchinson has over 20 years of experience in high school, has coached summer collegiate baseball scout teams for the Santa Barbara Grizzlies, and is a current scout for the Chicago Cubs. We are also pleased and honored to have him as our new head baseball coach.

Congratulations Hutch for being Head Coach once again at Santa Clara. Where did Almuni Minor Leaguer asst Coach David Ramirez (Torta) go to is he still there or following Walker great Coach and great with the kids I will miss that combo. Best of luck to both of them.
