How the 6-Week Rotation Works
Each week, the starting period will shift so that no class consistently begins or ends the school day. The rotation is as follows:
Week 1: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th
Week 2: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 1st
Week 3: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 1st, 2nd
Week 4: 4th, 5th, 6th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Week 5: 5th, 6th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th
Week 6: 6th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
After Week 6, the schedule will return to Week 1 and continue the rotation.
This structure helps balance learning time, supports engagement, and reduces the impact of early dismissals, assemblies, or holidays on the same class period each week. Additionally, this rotating schedule greatly benefits students involved in spring sports by preventing them from repeatedly missing the same class when they leave early for games or competitions.
Teachers will assist students as they adjust to the rotation, and we encourage families to review the weekly schedule together.
