Application Process

1.) Submit an Application to attend SCHS - The application can be accessed here. Please complete as much of the application as possible, including emails for English and Math teachers, and the school Principal to send them an online evaluation form. Scholarship and Financial Aid applications can also be submitted along with your application for admission. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee, to request a fee waiver, please contact Mr. Allison at (805) 483-9502 ext. 147 or [email protected]. Our regular application deadline is January 24, 2022.
2.) Take the High School Placement Test - the HSPT is required for all incoming freshman. For your convenience, we offer three administrations of the HSPT, each from 9a.m. - 12p.m. on January 15, January 22, and February 12. There is a $50 non-refundable fee to cover exam materials due no later than the day before the exam. When we receive your inquiry or application, we will schedule your HSPT appointment through SchoolAdmin. We also will be offering two preparation sessions to support students who may be unfamiliar with the exam, or would like to build some additional confidence! Session 1 will be hosted on campus from 4:00p.m. - 6:30p.m. on January 11th and January 13th, Session 2 will be hosted at the same times on January 18th and 20th.
3.) Interview - We want to know you and are looking forward to meeting you! The admissions interview is an exciting time for you to introduce yourselves to us and for us to answer any questions you may have. Some interviews take place with teachers, some with alumni, and others with school administrators. Interviews will be scheduled through SchoolAdmin and will take place in person on January 26th and 28th and February 15, 16, and 17th.
4.) Acceptance Notifications! Congratulations!!! - All acceptance notifications are made via email and U.S. Mail on March 4.
