Goals
- The student will become English proficient.
- The student will earn an American high school diploma.
- The student will meet American university admissions requirements: public and private, in-state and out-
Objectives
1a. The student will achieve a score of 83 or higher on the Internet-based or 550 or higher on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and/or
1b. The student will achieve a band score of 7 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination and/or
1c. The student will achieve above 560 on the writing section of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and/or
1d. The student will achieve a score of 7 or higher on the writing section of the American College Testing exam (ACT plus Writing) and/or
1e. The student will achieve a score of 21 or higher on the English section of the ACT.
2a. The student will take and pass each semester class required for graduation except foreign language.
2b. If the student does not pass a semester class required for graduation, then the student will take a semester review class and earn a passing grade.
2c. The student will complete the Computer Proficiency Activity.
3a. The student will take a minimum of the following: 4 years of English 3 years of History/Social Science 3 years of Mathematics 2 years of Science 1 year of the same Visual and Performing Arts 1 year of College Preparatory electives
3b. If the student does not earn a C- or higher in a semester class required for university admissions, then the student will take a semester review class and earn a grade of C- or higher.
3c. The student will earn a UC/CSU GPA of 3.0 to 3.4 or higher.
