This is a reminder letter to inform you of the upcoming fees, events, and practices associated with the end of the year for all graduating seniors. It is our hope to provide you enough notice so that you can plan ahead.
FEES
Note: All fees must be paid in advance and in a timely manner in order for your son/daughter to participate in all graduation festivities and events. You account must be entirely paid by May 15th. All incomplete hours will be billed at this point if not completed.
Tuition May/June:
June tuition payment must be paid by May 15, 2020
Parent Hours:
25 hr (12.5 hr for single parents/active military)
Grad Fee:
$100 Payable to SCHS by 5/20
Fiesta:
Parent Hours, Fiesta Donations, Etc.
Sports Fees:
Team Fees, Equipment Returns, Etc.

*Caps and gowns will not be given out until after your account has been cleared.

ACADEMIC GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
- In order to graduate from Santa Clara High School, a student must earn the following:
- Religion (40 credits)
- English (40 credits)
- History/Social Science (30 credits)
- Mathematics (30 credits)
- Science (20 credits)
- Foreign Language (20 credits)
- Visual and Performing Arts (10 credits)
- Computer Science (5 credits or complete Computer Proficiency Activity)
- Physical Education (5 credits)
- Health (5 credits)
- Electives (35 credits)
- Total: 240 credits
- Students must complete all finals and pass all 2nd semester classes.
STUDENT TIME OF ARRIVAL
Baccalaureate
- All students are to meet in front of Santa Clara Parish by no later than 12:30 pm on Friday, May 31, 2020.
- Check in with Mrs. Mack when you arrive.
All students are to meet in the Santa Clara High School Quad no later than 5:00 PM
- The Baccalaureate Mass will end around 2:30.
- Check in with Mr. Guzman when you arrive.
STUDENT RULES & PROCEDURES
Grad Nite
- Students who attend will be in Casual Dance Dress.
- Students who have not signed up for Grad Nite must be at school for a regular school day.
- Students should bring money for food and souvenirs.
- Students will be in regular uniform.
- periods 1 and 2 finals.
- period 3 and 4 finals.
- periods 5 and 6 finals.
- School will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 11:30 AM each day.
- Students are not to go into the halls after their exams. Seniors may only be in the lunch area, Annex hall, or Senior patio during normal school hours.
- Exams will be proctored in the Bingo Hall.
- Females: Dress is semi-formal, modest, with modest neckline and shoulders covered. Dress length is to be no more than four inches above the knee.
- Males: Collared shirt, tie, and slacks. Sports coat may be worn.
- Females: Dress is semi-formal, modest, with modest neckline and shoulders covered. Dress length is to be no more than four inches above the knee.
- Males: White collared shirt, tie, and slacks. Sports coat may be worn.
- All students will wear their graduation gown for the Mass.
- No caps will be worn for the Mass.
- Students are not to wear any lei’s, ribbons, or stoles around their necks, with the exception of the NHS stoles and medallions distributed to students by the school at the awards ceremony.
- No gum is allowed in church.
- Students who receive the NHS stoles or medallions are to bring those to mass and wear them with their graduation gowns.
- If you have a friend or relative that is a SCHS alum, please encourage them to come to mass and participate in the distribution of the tassels to the graduates.
- Females: Dress is semi-formal, modest, with modest neckline and shoulders covered. Dress length is to be no more than four inches above the knee.

- All students will wear their graduation cap (with tassel) and gown for the Mass.
- Students are not to wear any lei’s, ribbons, or stoles around their necks, with the exception of the NHS stoles and medallions distributed to students by the school at the awards ceremony.

- Students who receive the NHS stoles or medallions are to bring those to graduation and wear them with their graduation gowns.
Locker Clean Up
- All lockers must be completely clean by Friday, June 7th.
- Locker clean up will take place before school, lunch, or after school.
- All lockers must be cleaned and left in the same condition they were received.
- All stickers, decals, tape, magnets, etc. must be removed.
- The student will be responsible if your locker is damage.
- Locks not removed by June 8 will be cut and books will be removed.

PARENT/GUEST RULES & PROCEDURES
Senior Awards Night
- No balloons or noisemakers in the gym.
- No balloons or noisemakers in Mass.
- Doors will open at 5:30 PM.
- No balloons or noisemakers in the gym.
- All parents and guests must stay behind the chained area for the entirety of the ceremony.
- The doors will close when the Graduation procession begins at 6:00. No one will be allowed to enter or leave the gym until all students are seated.
- At the end of the graduation ceremony, the students and faculty will recess out of the gym. Please allow all members to leave the gym before leaving your seats.
