General Information
Santa Clara High School is a private, Catholic, CO-ED, college preparatory high school located in Ventura County in Oxnard, CA. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association. There are approximately 300 students total in grades 9 through 12. The school follows a semester system. The first semester contains: quarter 1, quarter 2, and a final exam. The second semester contains: quarter 3, quarter 4, and a final exam. Each quarter is worth 40% of the student’s semester grade. The final exam is worth 20% of a student’s semester grade. In order to graduate, a student must earn a total of 240 credits: Religion – 40 Credits, English – 40 credits, Mathematics – 30 credits, History/Social Science – 30 credits, Science – 20 credits, Foreign Language – 20 credits, Visual and Performing Arts – 10 credits, Computer Science – 5 credits, Physical Education – 5 credits, Heath – 5 credits, Electives – 35 credits. Of the class of 2020, 99% are attending colleges and universities. |
